Modern
technology can be a wonderful thing. In fact, Le Angelique has just introduced to their line of hair dryers, a most cutting edge dryer that has some of the most remarkable features and functions I have yet to see. Just imagine a hair dryer that not only dries your hair quickly, but actually conditions the scalp while drying the hair.
Well, the Le Angelique Titan UV 2000 Watt Hair Dryer has been introduced as the newest member of their family of hair styling tools. This dryer has features one can only dream of having in the world of hair drying excellence! Not only is this 2000 watt dryer lightweight, it is by far one of the most powerful hair dryers I have experienced using. It has been manufactured with UV Technology. In other words, a UV Blue light shoots out from the nozzle of the dryer once you turn it on. What does this blue ray of light do for your hair? For starters, the heat that is generated is actually repairing the hair cuticles while at the same time it is nourishing your scalp. So, if you have a dry and itchy scalp, this dryer will perform miracles. Secondly, the UV Technology will provide protection from your hair overheating during the drying process. And, as and extra added bonus, the dryer has been equipped with perfumed inserts. Just imagine a faint, yet subtle fragrance blowing out of your dryer while you are styling.
This amazing dryer has 3 heat and speed settings, more than enough to provide you with a variety of drying options. 2000 watts of power being generated from a long life AC motor is an enormous amount of power and you will find that you have dried even the thickest of hair in no time. However, if you want to speed up any setting on your dryer, the dryer is also equipped with a Turbo Heat Button. A great option to be able add that instant hair drying punch of heat while styling. Not just one, but two concentrators are included with the dryer. One has a wider space than the other to allow for more airflow when drying specific sections of your hair. Of course, the dryer has a removable filter for easy cleaning. And, for those who prefer hanging their dryer up when they are done using it, a hanger loop has been added to the dryer so that you are not using the cord of the dryer to hang it, which, over time will add pressure and strain to the cord with potential damage to the dryer. Finally, as with all Le Angelique hair styling tools, this dryer comes with a 100% Lifetime Warranty!
What more can I say? If you are looking for the ultimate in advanced technology in hair drying, then this dryer will fulfill all your expectations and more.
Proper Care For Your Hair Dryer
March 1, 2011
As with any electrical appliance, there are usually care instructions included in the packaging when your purchase it. And, if you are like most of us, these instructions get tossed and when you need them you ask yourself why you didn’t just file them away. Well, for those of you who fall into this category, here are some simple rules of thumb for taking care of your hair dryer so that it will hopefully last just a little longer as a result of that extra attention you give it.
- Most hair dryers now come with a removable cover on the air intake screen where the dust, lint, and occasional hair accumulate. By removing the cover and gently removing the debris, you are keeping the airway path open for maximum airflow. Perform this cleaning at least once every two weeks to a month, especially if you keep your dryer out in the open and not stowed away in a drawer.
- Do not wrap the cord of the dryer around the dryer. The tension of doing this obviously stretches out the cord and adds to an earlier weakening of the cord where it is attached. If you are not keeping the dryer plugged into the outlet at all times, take care to use a twist-tie or some time of band to coil up the cord. Make sure that the cord has some leeway where it attaches to the dryer to relieve any tension.
- When stowing away your hairdryer, be sure to not place it in a location where it is sitting on top of items or where items can easily shift and lay on top of it. This is especially important in the area of where the intake screen is located. If you don’t have enough counter space to keep your dryer out when not in use, consider purchasing a dryer holder that can be mounted on the wall or even looking at the selection of wall mounted hair dryers available for purchase.
- Keep the hair dryer clear of any moisture. Most of us use our dryer in the bathroom, and naturally there can be water droplets on the vanity and in the sink. While most of the time this is not an issue, however, there are times during the drying process that we lay the dryer down. If there is water in that particular spot, it can make its way into the dryer and cause potential shortages.
While these are just a few simple tips to follow, it can make all the difference in keeping your hair dryer working well and certainly longer than if you had not taken these steps.
Product Review: Andis T Outliner Hair Trimmers
February 9, 2011If you are in the market for reliable, careful workmanship and quality design hair trimmers, you just might want to consider the Andis T Outliner Hair Trimmers. These professional hair trimmers

hair trimmers
are equipped with a close-cutting T blade that enables you to trim easily around the ears and neck. Not only do they trim, but the fine-cutting teeth provide for some extremely close cutting or dry shaving. For all-around outlining and fading, these trimmers fit the bill as well. The contoured housing fits nicely in your hand and are more lightweight than some of the other hair trimmers you will find. The powerful magnetic motor runs cool and quiet and with a heavy duty 8-foot cord, you can plug these trimmers in just about anywhere and have ample extended allowance for use.
As with any hair trimmers or hair clippers, the key to keeping them in perfect working condition is the ongoing maintenance. You should always oil the blades before, during, and after each use. Cleaning excess hair from the blades by using a worn out toothbrush is also advisable. To clean the blades, Andis suggests immersing the blades only into a shallow plan of Andis Trimmer Oil, while the trimmer is running. Any excess hair and dirt that has accumulated between the blades should come out. Then after cleaning, turn the trimmer off and dry the blades with a dry cloth.
Want A Shaved Head? You Can Now Use Hair Clippers
December 8, 2010
Bald can truly be beautiful and easy to do if you have the right hair clippers. In the past men would shave their head to achieve that shiny noggin but now thanks to the Wahl 5-Star Balding Clipper you can achieve the same result with a lot less muss and fuss. After reading numerous positive reviews online, and seeing how there are still so many women still trying to figure out what to buy for their man, I felt it was a product worth sharing, especially if your man is bald or going bald, or just likes the bald look.
While Wahl developed the “5-Star Series” of clippers and trimmers to meet the unique professional grooming needs of African-American clients, Caucasians and other ethnic groups alike are praising the Wahl Company for developing this new clipper, which allows for full head balding and tight fades due to the adjustable taper and high-precision zero-overlap blades. I have even talked with a man who bought one to shave the hair off his back. From what I read online, this clipper gets a 4.5 out of 5 rating You can’t go wrong with that.
The difference in the Wahl Balding Clipper is the finer teeth. As you can see by the picture of the two blades, the one on the left is the Balding Clipper Blade and the one on the right is from some standard clippers. As one gentlemen put it, “the clippers leave you with the look of one day’s growth,” which, apparently is just how he likes it. He went on to say that these clippers shave the head more quickly and with less irritation than anything else he had used. So, if you are considering purchasing some clippers to achieve that “bald” look, just take note of the features and what the set includes below, and then you be the judge. Of course, if you have found something else that you feel is better, we would love to hear back from you.
FEATURES:
•Super charged V5000 motor for extra power
•Zero overlap fine tooth surgical blades
•Super close-cutting single-cut vibrator clipper
•Twice the speed of pivot motor clippers
•Includes: barber comb, pre-shave brush, blade guard, oil, cleaning brush
•Instructions in both English and Spanish
Tattoos and Hair Trimmers an Interesting Combination
October 7, 2010
If you don’t think the tatoos on arms, legs, backs and other more intimate locations are enough, have you noticed more and more individuals are having designs carved into short hair and side burns? The so-called expressions of style are now being called hair tattoos. Both women and men alike are asking their hair stylists to copy a particular drawing or design that they want revealed on their head by having their hair shaved in one general area to show off this design. Thus, the “hair tattoo”.
While there are some very talented barbers and stylists out there who have mastered the hair tattoo technique, Wahl hair trimmers has developed one of the newest hair styling tools called the Professional Tattoo Trimmer. This fine line trimmer creates cutout designs with ease. It’s long life AC motor comes with extra fine blades for detailed cuts. The trimmer even includes a poster with 18 hair designs. What more could you ask for unless it is your own unique design? Just think, you can be a trendsetter by tattooing your head with seasonal designs. With Halloween just around the corner, perhaps a bat, a pumpkin, a skeleton……. While that might be taking it just a bit too far, why not?
Le Angelique Flat Irons Go Aeordynamic
September 27, 2010
I guess it was just a matter of time before aerodynamics entered the hair styling tools arena. It’s the 21st century so why not?
So just exactly how does aerodynamics fit in with a straightening iron? To answer that, let’s think about what aeorodynamics really means. Aerodynamics involves both the motion of the object and the reaction of the air. The best way to explain this is to picture a modern day airplane without its wings. If you can visualize this then you now know what shape the new Le Angelique Caretin Flat Iron looks like. So what does the appearance of the flat iron have to do with anything?
The round body of the Caretin flat iron helps to achieve beautiful curls. A straightener that creates beautiful curls? Obviously this is one straightener that fits into the multi-functional category. The Caretin’s unique form is a one of a kind rarity, allowing for multi-dimensional styles. This aerodynamically modeled straightener allows for obtaining angles of use that one can only obtain using this iron as well as the fact that you can get closer to your scalp with the curved ends. This is not your traditional flat iron. The smooth rounded body also helps glide through your hair evenly, without pulling or tearing your hair.
Did I mention this flat iron has titanium plates? The modern Mirror Titanium Plates generate Nano negative ions, which work to seal in the hairs natural moisture leaving hair silky and frizz free. This hair straightener also comes with a regulated heat dial to help you achieve your own personal temperature, ranging from 170-420°F in only seconds. The 360° swivel cord moves with you and keeps the cord from tangling. All that’s left now is for you to check this one out the next time you are shopping for a flat iron. You can’t find a better deal on a unique hair styling tool that offers you more than one option in styling your hair. This straightener is what sets Le Angelique flat irons miles apart from many of the other professional manufacturers.
Nose Hair Trimmers – A Must Have
September 15, 2010
Alright men, do you have a significant other who has been hassling you over your ever present nose and ear hairs? For many men, there comes a time when the appearance of hairs in the nose and ears just is not attractive. And, in many cases it can be a total turnoff for women. Some look at protruding nose and ear hair as unsanitary and just not caring about their personal hygiene. And, so as not to sound sexist, yes, there are times when women have an extra long nose hair that is being a real pest and needs to be removed.
Well guys and gals, there are no more excuses. We have surpassed the time when you had to use scissors or tweezers (ouch) to rid you of these unsightly hairs. We are in the modern age, and as such, there are electric nose/ear hair trimmers or battery operated models that will get the job done. There are many in the marketplace to choose from but my recommendation is don’t buy the first thing you see, and don’t buy the least expensive. Remember that you are dealing with delicate areas in both your nose and ears, and the last thing you need is to inflict injury and pain needlessly.
When shopping for your new nose and/or ear hair trimmers, look for something that “trims” and doesn’t cut. Keeping in mind, however that these hairs are there for a reason ( for the nose the obvious is so that your delicate membranes of the inner nasal passage are protected from dirt and debris), so you don’t want to be shaving away what was initially intended to be there. Keep in mind that you also want a trimmer that is comfortable and easy to use. Once you find what you are looking for, follow the instructions carefully and you and yours will be ready to face the day looking well groomed.
At Home Hair Trimming or Clipping
June 1, 2010When we are all looking for ways to save money in these hard pressed economical times, even some of the must haves such as hair cuts, styling, etc. need to be readdressed. While for us women who have very defined types of hairstyles, trimming our own hair could be very disastrous. However, trimming boys, young men and older men alike can be accomplished fairly easily at home.
There are many hairstyles that are being worn these days by the male species just as with us females. However, many males are also wearing shaved heads or are sporting an extremely short cut. Knowing this, it doesn’t take much to see that one could invest in some hair clippers
or hair trimmers and perform this job at home. There are even clipper kits that are available which typically include everything you need from the clippers to the variable sized combs or guards, oil, a cleaning brush and even a neck cape. If you have teenage sons at home, you’ll find that they already know exactly what to do. If you ask them they will more than likely tell you that they have friends who do each other’s hair shaving or clipping or their parents are already doing it.
Hair clippers and trimmers come in all price ranges and just because some appear to be pricey, doesn’t always mean they are the best. Check out what is available. You can find some hair clipper kits for as low as $22.00.
What really is the difference between consumer grade hair clippers and professional hair clippers? Nowadays the biggest difference is that the professional units have enhanced insulating for internal electrical components to prevent the clippers from overheating during periods of prolonged use. Another difference is that some manufacturers of hair clippers have also replaced some of the plastic parts in consumer grade hair clippers to metal parts in the professional grade so that the clippers are more durable and will last longer. Both of these differences are due to extended use by barbers and professional stylists.
When it comes to quality in hair clippers, one must always consider the end user and the intent. Typically the at-home individual consumer leans towards purchasing a clipper kit that includes several accessories. These accessories include several guides for different length cuts, oil, and sometimes a comb. These kits can cost anywhere from $20.00 to $50.00. Most professional hair clippers do not include accessories and usually must be purchased separately. Depending on what you are looking for in a professional model hair clipper, the price can vary anywhere from $40.00 to right at about $100.00.
There are several clipper companies that have been around for quite some time. Andis got their start back in 1921 and Oster followed not long after in 1928. Since then many other companies have joined the industry such as Wahl, Forfex, and HAI. All of these companies have their popular models and varying types of trimmers that perform different functions.
If you are in the market for hair clippers, the deciding factor can be determined by many things but most of the time it boils down to what you can afford and for what particular function you need the clippers. Before buying, talk to your barber or hair stylist to see what they recommend and while you are at it ask for a couple of different recommendations, especially if price is a factor.
Titanium: Why It Is A Great Element in Curling Irons
April 30, 2010
First of all, what is titanium? Titanium (, ) is a chemical element with the symbol Ti and atomic number 22. Sometimes called the “space age metal”, it has a low density and is a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant (including sea water, aqua regia and chlorine) transition metal with a silver color.
Ok, now that we have established what titanium is, why makes titanium curling irons so great? For starters, due to its low density, the weight of the curling iron is much less. This is a great thing for those of us who have issues with our hands and/or wrists. Secondly, the fact that titanium is corrosion-resistant we don’t have to worry about the surface of the barrel of the curling iron rusting or going bad on us. Additionally, titanium helps to produce high heat for a firmer curl formation. And isn’t that the reason we use a curling iron anyway? We definitely need for our curls to form and stay in place.
Another fantastic quality of a titanium curling iron is that it allows for maximum heat distribution and snag-free styling due to the hard, yet smooth surface. The strength and durability that the titanium element adds to the curling iron makes it one of the best curling irons in the marketplace. So, if you are in the market for a new curling iron, try a titanium curling iron and I’m confident you will be pleased.
