A Unique Curling Iron Tool
January 31, 2009I don’t know about you, but I have never been able to get used to using the traditional curling iron. Every time I use one I end up with crease marks all over my hair. I have tried and tried to perfect the technique but even with helpful hints from my stylist I have never been able to achieve perfection.
Well, I recently went shopping at the local mall and discovered this kiosk where they were selling curling irons. The curling irons that they were selling were quite unique. The clamp that holds your hair in place as you are curling your hair was missing from the iron. I daresay that I was quite intrigued and stepped closer to watch the demonstration that was taking place. The stylist was working on a customer that had very straight hair that reached about an inch below her shoulders. The stylist was taking about a 1 to 2 inch section of the hair and wrapping the hair around the iron. She had a glove on her hand so as not to burn herself (the glove is included with the purchase of the iron). The stylist held the iron in place for what seemed to be just a few seconds and then simply unwound the hair from the iron. She proceeded to do this around around the customer’s head until she had finished. The curly locks flowed from the customers head. At the stylist’s request the customer bent her head downward and then back as the stylist was running her hand casually through the customers hair. With a slight spritz of hair spray here and there, the style was set and this customer’s hair transformation was complete. All the customer needed to do was go home, get dressed up and she was ready for a night out on the town!
So, you ask, what curling iron is this that sounds too good to be true? The answer is Le Angelique curling irons. They come in all sizes and variations. The smallest barrel is 1/2 inch and the largest is 1 inch. The iron even comes in inverted sizes meaning that the size of the barrel increases from one end to the other, or the barrel decreases in size from one end to the other. The purpose of this is to get a different size of curl going either from large to small or small to large. What will they think of next?
How do you know what size is right for the look you are trying to achieve? The 1 inch barrel is ideal for creating large bouncing curls. The 1/2 inch design creates tight ringlets like a permanent. That size is also great for wedding updo’s and fun facial framing curls. The inverted size of 3/8 inch to 1 inch is ideal for creating medium to large bouncing curls. If you want a large to medium bouncing curl you would use the 1 inch to 3/4 inch barrel. They even have a 1 1/3 inch to 3/8 inch barrel which is ideal for creating medium to small bouncing curls.
The Le Angelique curling iron has the technology that distributes heat evenly without creating frizz or hair damage. With this curling iron’s super fast heat up time, the barrel temperature remains consistent curl after curl. You’ll have playful free flowing curls to impress within minutes while making your hair silky and shiny.
If you are ready to try the new innovative way to curl your hair in just minutes, then Le Angelique curling irons are definitely the way to go.
This Is A Dryer Above All Others
January 19, 2009
It may not seem like it but hair dryers can definitely do more than just make wet tresses dry. A Conair hair dyer for example, can reduce frizz and make hair appear shinier, silkier and straighter. Of course, a lot depends on the type and quality of hair dryer you have. Not all hair dryers are as superior and as modern as Conair’s and would most likely not give you the results you wish for.
If you expect exceptional performance from your hair dryer and improved locks too, it’s best to stick to Conair. Conair has not just one but several superlative hair dryers that are a joy to use and deliver on their promise of healthier, better-looking hair. All Women Long For Soft Silky Locks
January 19, 2009
There’s something about straight, silky hair that unfailingly attracts and appeals. For instance, a woman with a long, straight mane, whether flaxen or brunette, for some reason, would more likely exude calm, elegance and neatness than a lady with wavy or curly locks.
It’s no wonder then that a lot of women favor straight hair. Popular actress Jennifer Aniston is an example. She usually sports a drop-down hairstyle and her long tresses look gorgeously straight but she admits to having naturally curly/wavy hair. Obviously, this is one star that relies on hair straighteners.
You too can have relaxed, straighter-looking hair like your favorite celebrity. A steam straightener such as Conair’s Infiniti Nano Silver Steam Straightener is what you need to get the job done. This amazing tool utilizes steam and ions to straighten the hair, even as it deftly eliminates frizz and flyaways
How To Curl With A Flat Iron
January 18, 2009What is all the buzz with regard to curling with a flat iron? Since when do you use a flat iron to curl your hair? Isn’t a curling iron the hairstyling tool you use to curl your hair? Yes, curling irons are the traditional tool used to curl hair, however, more and more stylists are using the flat iron to get that loose, flowing curl for longer styles and with shorter hair, the slight flip at the ends or the slight curling under. Most stylists will tell you that the best way to achieve curling your hair with a flat iron is to use one that has rounded beveled plates.
There are a couple of ways you can use your flat iron to create different looks.
STYLE ONE (Slight Flip or Curl Under)
- Divide your hair into one inch sections just as you may already do when you are using your flat iron to straighten your hair. Bobby pins or clips can be used to help keep the hair separated.
- Take one of the sections of hair and place the flat iron at the top gliding it downwards to slowly curl the hair up. This results in a cute flip at the end of your hair.
- If you want your hair to curl under and in, glide the flat iron downwards curling the hair towards you, being careful not to let the flat iron touch your scalp.

STYLE TWO (Twisted Curls)
- Divide your hair into one inch sections as described above.
- Take the flat iron and clamp it approximately one inch from your scalp.
- Glide the flat iron down the length of your hair, twisting as you go.
- For a tighter curl, slowly glide the iron down the length of your hair.
- For a looser curl and/or wavy hair, quickly glide the iron down the length of your hair while twisting the iron around the hair.
Prior to using your straightener to curl your hair, it is advisable to coat your hair with a heat protective product. This is no different than when you are straightening your hair. Lastly, it is a good idea to spritz your hair with hair spray as you are curling your hair so that the curls will stay.
Why Should You Buy An Ionic Hairdryer?
January 14, 2009
So you have washed your hair and now you have to blow dry it. You’ve noticed that your hair is looking more dull and frizzy and your ends are dry and splitting. Is it the shampoo, the conditioner, the other products that you use on your hair, OR, is it the hairdryer that is actually drying out your hair? You go to your hairdresser and you ask what can be done. The question that arises is, “What kind of hairdryer are you using?” You suddenly are too embarrassed to say and reply that it is just a cheap model you picked up at the local drug store. Your hairdresser responds that it is time for you to start looking at ionic hairdryers and seriously consider buying one. But, why should you buy an ionic hairdryer? What does an ionic hairdryer have that your everyday run of the mill hairdryers don’t have?
Ionic hairdryers release negative ions into the airstream coming from the dryer. The negative ions break down the water molecules in your hair into smaller particles. This is possible due to the positive charge of the water particles attracting the negative ions to it and resulting in the water particles breaking down and evaporating. This process cuts down the time you spend drying your hair in half. Since you don’t have to spend as much time drying your hair, your hair will be less likely to get overheated and break, resulting in less split ends.
Since negative ions improve the condition of your hair by breaking down the water molecules for better absorportion, it is this absorption process that results in shinier and smoother hair. Hydrated hair from within gives the hair a healthy glow and more volume. The tightening or closing of the cuticle from this ionic process will curb the static electricity that causes unwanted frizz.
So…..with all of the stated benefits of an ionic hairdryer, if you don’t already own one, now is the time to buy one. You will see that there are many ionic hairdryers in the marketplace to choose from. They are available in all price ranges, shapes, and sizes. With so many choices, you should have no trouble finding one that is just right for you.
