Creating Wide Waves With a Curling Iron

Author: Hairdo4U August 4, 2009

hair-beauty-2-s2.jpgFor those of us who have hair that is at least 6 to 8 inches long, creating a style with wide waves can easily be accomplished by using a curling iron.

EASY STEPS TO FOLLOW TO CREATE WIDE WAVES:

1)  Pick up a section of your hair and place the curling iron under it close to the scalp, making half a turn downward.  (Be careful not to touch your scalp)

2)  Remove the curling iron.

3)  Working with the same section of hair, start where you left off and place the curling iron on top of the hair, curling it up half a turn.

4)  Proceed down the same hair section, alternating the curl upward and downward.

5)  Repeat the procedure with the remaining sections of your hair.

Using professional curling irons are your best bet when styling your hair.  The more temperature settings that a typical professional curling iron has to offer gives you the flexibility you need to adapt to your particular hair type, as well as to the style that you are going for.  Professional curling irons come in all sizes and price ranges so if you don’t already have one, you can easily find one by searching on the internet.
