Traveling With Your Hairdryer

Author: Hairdo4U November 15, 2009

BABNT052TWith the holidays fast approaching, many of us are going to be visiting friends and family.   To some of us this means more than an afternoon or evening visit, especially if you are traveling out of the area and are going to stay a couple of days or more.  What this means is that if you aren’t going to be staying in a hotel, you end up needing to take all of your hair styling tools and probably your haircare products.

I have found that over time, I have a hairdryer that I travel with, and the one that I use routinely when I wash my hair.  It just makes sense to have a travel dryer that is smaller and more compact, especially nowadays that you are charged for baggage that exceeds a certain weight limit.

When shopping around for travel hairdryers, one of the things to keep in mind is that it is possible to find a dryer that has many of the bells and whistles that your everyday dryer has, but it may not necessarily have all of the perks.  Don’t knock yourself out looking.  You need to remember that if travel is not part of your job, you aren’t necessarily traveling all of the time, and a travel dryer is just meant to get you through until you return home.   Again, the key to traveling is to go with the least amount of weight as possible.

There are several travel dryers in the marketplace that are lightweight and compact.  Many have foldable handles that make it even easier to pack.  Some come with dual voltage (especially good if you are traveling outside of the United States).  Many come with all of the new technologies that protect your hair from the heat as well as eliminating frizz.  What’s even more astonishing about these mini travel dryers is that theycan still produce some supreme heat and air pressure.

So, as you are making your travel plans for the holidays, don’t forget to add to the list that travel dryer and don’t leave home without it!!
