How To Use Hot Rollers

Author: Hairdo4U November 12, 2008
Lady Using Hot Rollers

For those of you who need some help in the use of hot rollers, the following instructions can be useful in completing this task:

1)  Plug in your set of hot rollers and wait until the indicator shows that they are ready to use.

2)  While you are waiting for the rollers to heat up, dry your clean hair into a straight style.

3)  Apply whatever type of styling mousse, cream, or oil starting at your roots and working it in to the ends.

4)  Now you will want to separate your hair into three sections.  Clip up two of the sections on top of your head.

5)  Taking the unclipped section of hair, comb out a 2-inch section to make sure there are no knots or tangles.  You can then spray this section of hair with a light hairspray.

6)  Choose the size of hot roller that you want to use for the first section of hair along with the clamp or pin.

7)  Take the roller and place it about 1 1/2″ above the end of the section of hair and wrap the bottom of the strand around the roller.

8)  Make sure that you are rolling upward toward the scalp so that the entire section of hair is wrapped around the roller.

9)  Use the clamp or pin to secure the roller in place.  Repeat this process until you have completely rolled your entire head in curlers.
