Creating The Natural-Looking Curl
April 1, 2009
Are you looking for an easy way to create that soft, feminine, natural-looking curl, yet it has enough style for a night out on the town? Well, believe it or not, all you need is a one inch professional curling iron, a paddle brush, and two hands.
If you have medium to long length hair, take a two-inch wide section of your hair and wrap just the center portion of the section of hair (not the roots or ends) around the barrel of the curling iron. Hold the curling iron in place for only a few seconds. Continue this process until all of the hair has been curled. Keeping your head down take a paddle brush and lightly run the brush through the curls to help break them up. Shake the curls around with your fingers and then raise your head back up. Apply your favorite hairspray, but use only a slight amount and you can be on your way.
A variation of the above-detailed style is to first spritz the roots of your hair with some volumizer and rub a silicone smoothing serum through the rest. Just randomly take two-inch wide sections of your hair and curl. Separate the curls with your fingers, spray and off you go. Setting the style for going out has just gotten easier.
